1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using Work Captor (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Work Captor is a career and project-history tracking platform that lets you record employment history, clients, projects, notes, code snippets, interview preparation material, and generate resumes from that data. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

We offer a time-limited demo account (no sign-up required) that is pre-populated with sample data for evaluation purposes. Demo accounts and their data expire automatically and are not backed up.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the employment history, project details, notes, snippets, and any other content you add to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service on your behalf. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and will not sell it to third parties.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store content you don't have the right to store.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service (e.g. abuse rate limits, automated scraping).
• Reverse engineer or resell the Service without our written permission.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor (Stripe). You can cancel or change your plan at any time from Settings; changes take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes Your Content per our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk to the Service or other users.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Work Captor will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
